Charitable Organizations: Each year we will designate several charity organizations, and we will provide them with assistance in obtaining financial, emotional and spiritual support. 

Below are our 2010 Charities of Choice. We will raise money throughout the year for these groups and hope you will reach out and help them any way you can.

Code section 501(c)(3).

To ensure the long-term financial stability of the Children At Heart family of ministries through professional fundraising, fund management and communications. The family of ministries includes: STARRY, Gracewood, Miracle Farm, and Texas Baptist Children's Home.

Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center

 

Who are we?

Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas, Inc. (CACTX) is the statewide membership association, represcenter_logo_Georgetown.jpgenting all local children's advocacy centers (CACs) in the Lone Star State. Founded in 1994 with a membership of 13 local centers, today the CACTX membership roster includes 64 developing and established centers in large urban cities as well as in small rural communities. Our membership reflects the vast diversity of Texas, all with their own unique approaches to fulfilling our shared mission of protecting and providing for children. CACTX offices are located in the Beth C. Swalm Center in Austin, Texas, adjacent to the CACTX Conference Center where specialized CAC trainings are offered throughout the year.

Round Rock Area Serving Center

RRASCWho are we?

The Round Rock Area Serving Center, a Texas non-profit corporation, also known as the Serving Center, carries out a community-wide mission of churches, other organizations and individuals serving human needs in the City of Round Rock and surrounding areas.  

 

Services provided include a food pantry, Round Rock Coats for Kids, clothing and furniture vouchers, Computers for Kids, community gardens, The Volunteer Center, computer skills training, and financial assistance for utlities, rent, perscriptions, transportation, and temporary lodging.

 

"Treasures" is a clothing and furniture thrift store that is open to the public. Clients shop with vouchers for clothing and furniture. Revenue from sales supports the food pantry and social service programs. Donations of clothing, books, furniture, and appliances are needed! In 2009, a total of 54,251 people were assisted at the Serving Center, experiencing a 19% increase in the number of households with under-privleged, low-income people, and families-in-crisis. The food pantrty filled a total of 12,177 food vouchers, and 3,906 households were served from Fresh Food for Families. A total of $718,057 was spent on client services, and $188,366 was given in clothing and furniture vouchers.

Hope Alliance

Who are we?

Developing partnerships and providing services that renew hope, highlight possibilities and change the futures of those whose lives have been affected by family and sexual violence.

Founded in 1984 as a rape crisis center, Hope Alliance celebrated 25 years of service to the community in 2009. The agency expanded to include services for domestic violence victims in the late 1980s and opened the 24-hour emergency shelter in 1990. Today Hope Alliance is recognized nationally as a leader in caring for those whose lives have been affected by family and sexual violence. All services are free and confidential.
